- 이제 내 얘기를 끝내야 할 때가 왔다

- So I'm almost up-to-date with my story.

 

- 모든 가족이 그렇듯이 우리도 아버지 없는 삶에 적응해 갔다. 그리고 모든 게 괜찮았다

- As all families do, we got used to life after death. And it was still fine.

 

- 계절이 흐를 때마다 우리가 지키던 전통의 리듬을 다시 타기 시작했고 예전과 다름없이 시간은 흘러갔다

- And things settled back into their traditional rhythms season after season, and are much as they have always been.

- 킷캣의 다시 행복한 모습에도 익숙해졌다. 그리고 엄마가 된 킷캣에게도. 그다지 든든하고 안전한 엄마는 아닐지라도

- And we've got used to Kit Kat being happy again. And then we got used to her being a mum. Albeit not a very good or even safe one.

 

- 마침내 난 시간 여행에서 마지막 교훈을 얻었다
- And in the end, I think I've learned the final lesson from my travels in time.

 

- 아빠보다 한 단계 더 나아가기까지 했다

- And I've even gone one step further than my father did.

 

- 내가 애들 볼게

- Okay, I'll do the kids.

 

- 아니야, 내가 볼게

- No, don't worry. I'll do them.

 

- 그래, 빨리 애들 봐 게으름뱅이 아저씨

- Yeah, you do them, you lazy bum.

 

- 이제 난 시간 여행을 하지 않는다 하루를 위해서라도

- The truth is, I now don't travel back at all. Not even for the day.

   

- 난 그저 하루하루를 내가 이날을 즐기기 위해 고의적으로 시간 여행을 한 것처럼, 나의 특별하면서도 평범한 삶의 마지막 날인 것처럼 살려고 노력한다.

- I just try to live every day as if I've deliberately come back to this one day to enjoy it as if it was the full final day of my extraordinary, ordinary life.
