물론, 그녀의 영화를 본 적이 있고 그녀가 정말 매력적이라고 항상 생각해 왔다.

Of course, I've seen her films and always thought she was, well, fabulous

 

하지만 내가 사는 곳에서 아주 멀리 떨어진 곳에 있다. 

 but, you know, million million miles from the world I live in. Uh, 

 

내가 사는 곳은 노팅힐, 런던에서 가장 좋아하는 곳이다.

Which is here Notting Hill. My favorite bit of London.

주 중에 온갖 종류의 과일과 채소를 파는 시장이 열린다.

There's the market on weekdays, selling every fruit and vegetable known to man...

 

돌처럼 단단한 바나나, 1파운드에 5개요.

Rock hard bananas, five for a pound.

 

WILLIAM
술에 취해 문신소 밖에 있는 남자는 왜 "I Love Ken"을 선택했는지 기억할 수 없다.

The tattoo parlour with a guy outside who got drunk and now can't remember why he chose 'I Love Ken'.

 

WILLIAM
최첨단 미용실에서 손님들은 자신이 원하든 원하지 않든 쿠키 몬스터처럼 하고 밖으로 나온다.

The racial hairdressers where everyone comes out looking like the Cookie Monster, whether they want to or not

 

WILLIAM
게다가 주말이 되면 동이 틀 무렵부터 어디선가 나타나는 수많은 노점상들이 노팅힐 입구 바로 앞까지 포토벨로 거리를 가득 메운다. 

And then suddenly it's the weekend and from break of day hundreds of stalls appears out of nowhere, filling Portobello Road right up to Notting Hill Gate.

 

 

 

 

 

WILLIAM
그리고 수천 명의 사람들이 수백 개의 골동품을 거래하는데 어떤 건 진품이고 어떤 건 완전한 진품은 아니다.

And wherever you look thousands of people are buying millions of antiques, some genuine and some not quite so genuine.

또한, 가장 좋은 점은 많은 친구가 결국 런던의 이곳에 있게 됐다.

And what's great is that lots of friends have ended up in this part of London. 

* end up: 결국 (어떤 처지에) 처하게 되다.

 

예를 들어, 토니는 건축가에서 요리사로 전업하여 최근에 모아둔 전 재산을 새 레스토랑에 투자했다.

That's Tony, for example, architect turned chef, who recently invested all the money he ever earned in a new restaurant.

여기는 내가 사는 집이다. 도시 한 가운데 작은 동네의 이 파란 대문 집은 아내가 해리슨 포드와 꼭 닮은 남자와 떠나기 전 함께 구매했다.

And so this is where I spend my days and years in this small village in the middle of a city in a house with a blue door that my wife and I bought together before she left me for a man who looked exactly like Harrison Ford.

그리고 지금 ~라 불리는 하숙인과 이상한 반쪽 인생을 살고 있다.

and where I now lead a strange half-life with a lodger called...
