- So, what do you do?

 

- 출판사에서 리더 일을 해요

- I'm a reader at a publisher.

 

- 말도 안 돼! 돈 받고 책 읽는 거예요?

- No! You read for a living?

 

- 네, 그거예요 원고를 읽는 게 직업이죠

- Yes, that's it. I read.

 

- 정말 멋지네요. 이거랑 비슷하잖아요 '무슨 일을 하세요?', '숨 쉬는 일을 해요 돈 받고 숨을 쉽니다'

- Oh, that's so great. It's like someone asking, "What do you do for a living?", "Well, I breathe. "I'm a breather, I get paid for breathing."

 

- 그런 직업은 어떻게 갖게 된 거예요?

- How did you get that job?

 

- 잘나신 분, 당신은 무슨 일 하는데요?

- Okay, smart-ass, what do you do?

 

- 전 변호사예요. 그런 일이죠

- I am a lawyer. Sort of. Sort of.

 

- 섹시하네요 - 그래요?

- That's sexy. -Is it?

 

- 그렇게 생각해요. 관복을 입고 법정에서 사람들 생명을 구한다는 거, 섹시하잖아요

- I mean, I think so. In a suit, in a court, saving people's lives. Kind a sexy.

 

- 그렇기도 하네요. 독서만큼 섹시하진 않지만요.

- I guess it is. Although it's not as sexy as reading. 

 

- 사무실의 작은 의자에 앉아서 독서하는 모습은 정말...

- Sitting there in an office, in a little chair reading.

- 거기까지만 하시죠, 우리 츨판사에 제출되는 원고가 얼마나 많은데요

- Just wait right there, mister, because a lot of books get submitted to my publisher.
